Comprehensive Dental Care
A comprehensive dental exam includes far more than just cleaning your teeth. It involves a complete and thorough patient examination covering everything from pre-existing conditions, gum health, digital x-rays and a full assessment of all teeth to help ensure optimal oral health. The exam includes evaluating your risk of developing other oral problems and checking your face, neck and mouth for abnormalities.

Crowns are used to repair cracked, broken and damaged teeth using the exisiting tooth, given the natural tooth is vital and healthy. A permanent crown is made from a variety of materials including porcelain, zirconia, and ceramic for maximum strength and aesthetics. Crowns can last 20-30 years if the mouth is maintained with good oral hygiene and regular cleaning appointments.
Our clinic utilizes local specialists to place the titanium post into the jaw bone. This post acts as the root structure to secure the new tooth.
After this procedure, the gum and implant need time to heal to allow proper adhesion to the bone. Once fully healed, the actual artificial tooth or crown is attached to the implant.
One of the primary benefits patients gain with dental implants is they function, feel, and look just like your real teeth. As such, you are able to eat just about any foods you desire. Caring for implants is simple and easy with normal brushing and flossing, and regular visits to have them cleaned by one of our dental hygienists.
A bridge is a custom made tooth designed to fill in missing spaces from previous dental extractions. This artificial tooth, or teeth, are attached to adjacent teeth, which are called the abutment teeth. Bridges are permanently secured to abutment teeth.
Replacing missing teeth is highly recommended because teeth are essential for talking, eating and aesthetic purposes. In addition, people with missing teeth have a higher risk for gum disease and periodontal disease.
Veneers are a custom-made tooth coloured shell that is fitted and secured over your existing tooth structure to hide various imperfections, including misshapen and crooked teeth.
After being bonded to your teeth, your veneers are easy to care for with normal brushing and flossing. Additionally, they are designed to be resistant to staining from tea, coffee and other beverages and foods.
Root canal procedures are used to address certain dental problems when the inside of the tooth (pulp) becomes infected. The tooth pulp is located inside the centre of the tooth structure and is responsible for helping to build and maintain the entire tooth. Over time, bacteria can make its way into this area resulting in an infection. This is similar to cavity causing infections.
During a root canal procedure the infected pulp is removed and the surrounding area is cleaned. In order to prevent further infection, the area must be treated and properly sealed using specific restorative processes.
This treatment can be completed in 1-2 appointments.
A partial denture is a great option to replace one or more missing teeth, allowing a natural look, improving speech and restoring a person’s smile.
Partial dentures prevent your natural teeth from shifting, moving or even falling out. They also reduce the risk associated with periodontal disease and gum disease.
Partial dentures are custom made and fitted for each individual, based on the location of the missing teeth. The denture is secured in place with metal clips which attach to the adjacent existing teeth.
When your existing teeth can not be restored, an extraction may be required for multiple reasons. The procedure may be required when a tooth is:
- Severely Decayed
- Has Advanced Periodontal Disease
- Is Broken and Unrestorable
- Due to Tooth Position or is Impacted
- For Orthodontic Treatment Preparation
While brushing and flossing are important for the overall health of your teeth and mouth, regularly scheduled cleaning from a registered dental hygienist is critical for maintaining a healthy smile.
Not only do our hygienists thoroughly clean your teeth by removing the build up of tartar and plaque on your teeth, they also complete a full screening and examination. This includes taking digital x-rays.
Dental hygienists also help to make patients feel comfortable during the appointment and educate them on how they can care for their teeth between appointments.
